Powertrains
Hyundai is now offering the i20 with a sole 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that makes 82 hp power and 115 Nm torque. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor with 118 hp is now reserved for the Hyundai i20 N Line. Transmission options include a 5-speed MT and an optional CVT.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Tata Altroz are also both offered with 1.2-litre NA petrol engines, however, the two offer a CNG option in addition as well. Moreover, the Altroz one ups the competition with its 1.5-litre diesel motor (89 hp/200 Nm), as well as the 1.2-litre turbo petrol motor on the iTurbo version, putting out 108 hp of maximum power and 140 Nm of peak torque.
