To mark its 25th anniversary celebrations, Google has announced that it is opening the Google Visitor Experience at its headquarters in Mountain View, California. “This new destination will give you the chance to experience Google and our hometown community — from a public cafe and a Google Store to an events space and pop-up shop featuring local businesses,” said the company in a blog post.
Google will open the doors of the Visitor Experience centre to the public on October 12, 2023. Google is promising a “Googley” experience for visitors with a cafe, local art and programming and much more.
The company said that it wants to remain focused on being a helpful neighbour and wants to invest in a long-term presence in Mountain View. “That’s why, for the first time, we curated an intentional visitor experience with public amenities for everyone, including neighbours, visitors and Googlers,” said the company in the blog post.
Visitors can attend a local community group or non-profit event at the Huddle, a venue designed for creating connections. Furthermore, they can discover and support local businesses at the Pop-Up Shop. “Tap into your curiosity in The Plaza, which features outdoor art, events and programming. Connect with friends at the Cafe @ Mountain View, our first-ever public cafe,” added Google in the blog post.
Also, Google is opening its first brick-and-mortar Google Store on the West Coast, which will be at the experience centre in Mountain View. Visitors can explore Google’s hardware products and services at the store.
