‘Survived’: Farmer Wants a Wife star’s update after major milestone

Farmer Wants a Wife star Emily has reached a new milestone in her relationship with Farmer David.

The TV favourite, 26, who moved in with her new boyfriend after filming wrapped in late 2022, shared that she “survived” her first winter season at David’s farm.

David, 29, and his family have run an apple property in Queensland for four generations.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Emily declared, “Survived my first Stanthorpe winter”.

She shared four photos from the chilly season on the farm, three hours west of the Gold Coast.

The first photo showed the couple’s dog resting in front of the heater to try and keep warm.

The second was of Emily in the car holding onto a morning coffee as her screen displayed, “Outside temp 1 degree, and the time 8:02am”.

Emily’s other photos were of the orchid and David pouring her a glass of wine in front of a small fire at sunset.

Life appears to be going well for David and Emily.

On August 20, Emily shared a selfie of herself embracing the farmer in a field of flowers, captioning the post, “Favourite time of the day”.

Fellow former Farmer Wants a Wife star Sophie Holcombe, who has split with her farmer Brenton, commented with a yellow heart emoji.

“I’m so glad you are both so happy, keep photos coming,” another follower said.

“You both look very happy,” agreed another.

Photos show Emily has well and truly settled into the farm after making the move from Brisbane to Pozieres, Queensland.

“I was a little bit anxious that I really wanted to find, you know, my career and life here,” Emily told 7Life of the move in May.

“I’m just used to my routine and I knew that was going to change but I was excited to get involved with the community here.”

“I was really fortunate that things kind of moved quickly, so nothing’s been really that hard.”

The special education aide said she was working full time at a local primary school, albeit not the one seen in an early Farmer episode.

“I’m also teaching at the dance studio at night time,” she said.

“I’ve managed to find both my loves out here as well.

“I’ve got my dancing still going and my teaching so I’m extremely happy.”
