Princess Kate looks regal in burgundy as she commemorates Queen Elizabeth II | Royal | News

Princess Kate looked chic today as she marked the one-year anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II. She wore a beautiful pair of earrings which previously belonged to the late Queen.

For the occasion, she wore a burgundy coat dress and a matching hat. The coat dress had structured shoulders and a nipped-in waist which created an hourglass shape and accentuated the royal’s fabulous figure.

The coat dress was an Eponine London design. The dress is a bespoke design so it’s unclear how much it cost, however, it’s very similar to Eponine’s ‘Chi Chi’ dress which comes in bright blue. The dress is described on the website as a “wool crepe midi wrap coat-dress featuring shoulder pleats, belt and button detailing, a V-neck, three-quarter length sleeves and a softly curved hem”.

Kate complemented the chic coat dress with a hat by Sahar Millinery.

She accessorised with a recycled Mulberry Bayswater Wallet in the same shade and a pair of suede Gianvito Rossi pumps. The heels are thought to be the ‘Gianvito 105’ pumps which retail for $795 (£635.53).

Kate owns the Bayswater clutch in three different colours. On Mulberry’s website, the clutch is described as “an ultra-slim clutch with the versatility of a classic wallet”.

The website continued: “Inside there is a compact but carefully-organised space, with slip and zip pockets and slots for cards, cash, tickets and receipts. The chain strap can be tucked inside for an understated, slim-line clutch.”

The coat dress boasted some dainty gold buttons on the cuffs and waist. These complemented the gold clasp on her bag.

This was not the first time sustainable fashionista Kate stepped out in this stylish coat. She also turned heads in it for the Together at Christmas concert in December.

As for jewellery, the royal went for a minimalistic yet significant look, just a dainty pair of pearl drop and diamond studs that previously belonged to the Queen.

Of course, she sported her 12ct Ceylon sapphire engagement ring.

Her nails were neatly manicured and painted in her signature nude-pink shade.

Kate’s hair was swept back into a polished, chic bun – with extra volume as her hair had been braided.

Perhaps Kate’s look was a nod to Queen Elizabeth II, who was known for her love of a monochromatic outfit.

The late monarch was known for her fabulous dress and coat combos in an array of incredible colours.

Prince William looked dapper beside her in a navy suit, white shirt and patterned tie.
