MKR judge Manu Feildel has delivered his most blistering review to date, taking on Melbourne contestants Nick and Christian during their highly anticipated Instant Restaurant meal.
The MKR team has ruffled serious feathers in the competition so far, frustrating some contestants with their critiques and superior food knowledge.
And while the Melbourne restaurant and hospitality workers wowed with their entree, a crucial error with their main meal resulted in a scathing review from Manu.

After being questioned by Colin about the swordfish dish, Nick and Christian admitted that they hadn’t tasted the meal before serving it to the judges and other teams.
“You’re in the business, yeah?” Manu said.
“Hearing this from you, it’s upsetting.”
While the pair admitted there were “no excuses” for the blunder, Manu took offence when Christian attempted to speak over him while he gave his critique.
“So you have no idea what you served to us?” he said.
When Christian spoke up, Manu added: “No you don’t, and I’ll tell you why – listen to what we’ve got to say now, because you’ve got no idea.”
“I’m a bit harsh because I believe in you, OK?” he continued.
“A lot of seasoning is missing, there’s not a lot of salt and pepper on that fish.
“If you had one bite of that fish alone, you would’ve known that. And then you could’ve added on top of that.”
Manu then questioned the pair’s decision to barbecue their fish – and then cook it in the oven.
“For me, if you’re going to cook barbie, you just cook barbie,” he said.
“Which means you would’ve got more charred flavour. There’s no char here.
“And then you cooked the fish on a low temp and it’s kind of – it’s not overcooked, but it’s spongy.”
Manu then turned his attention to the salsa that was served with the fish.
“The first word in the salsa is jalapeno, jalapeno is like – you know, I don’t know if you took the seeds out, but you want a bit of a smack of heat,” he said.
The night only went downhill for Nick and Christian.
After the disappointing main, the pair served a disastrous dessert to the judges.
The hit and miss dishes meant that the team scored just 28 out of 50 from the other teams – and 38 from the judges, giving them a total tally of 66.
The score put them in second last place, with only one more team to cook in the Instant Restaurant round.
“That hurts,” Nick said.
